A familiar workplace identity renewed for changing business needs
Nuance, India
Since 2016, Nuance has worked with Pinakiin Designs on two large workplace projects measuring 150,000 sq. ft. and 90,000 sq. ft. Both were delivered as Design and Build engagements and extended an office identity already familiar to the company's employees.
The brief was to create user-friendly workplaces that aligned with the earlier offices while introducing a new design idea for each project. The established blue and white palette was retained and updated through brighter accents, current technology and new product selections.

The design team introduced a different combination of design details, technology and product selections for every new project.
Keeping the new offices connected to the earlier workplace
The main design challenge was continuity. Employees needed to recognise the visual language of the earlier Nuance offices, while each new workplace had to reflect updated business requirements.
The blue and white base established that connection. Brighter accents, contemporary forms and selected new elements then gave each project its own character without breaking from the wider Nuance workplace identity.

Introducing a different idea for each project
For every new workplace, the design team developed a distinct response around the client's current needs. The changes came through spatial details, workplace technology and product selection rather than a complete change of design language.

Making the workplace easy to use
User experience remained a practical test for every design decision. New features had to work within the daily routines of the office and remain simple for employees to understand and use.

Updating the workplace after the Microsoft merger
Following the merger with Microsoft, the interiors continued to carry the Nuance workplace identity while taking on a more contemporary character. Sleek forms and brighter accents give the offices a younger and more energetic atmosphere.

Each new workplace retained the identity of the earlier Nuance offices while introducing a distinct response through design, technology and product selection.
